Crates, makeover & update...

HOLIDAY TRAVEL CHALLENGE: Remember all those stories last week about how airports would be crowded and travelers would be caught up in nightmares. Never mind all that. We have a canine travel request as Friday wanes and all of you employed folks start watching the clock.

The Humane Society of Cedar Creek is looking for large airline-approved crates to fly some Labs to a rescue group in California. If you can help, call Krista at 903-288-5943.

Because Lab rescue groups in Texas are full, the Humane Society is forwarding these three large Labs to Golden Gate Lab Rescue.

MAKEOVER CONTEST: Our reliable tipster Deana Hanson of Weatherford points us toward a shelter makeover contest at www.zootoo.com/makeover. The Humane Society of North Texas in Fort Worth is getting "quite a few votes," Deana notes, and she says, "Of course I would like any help for the Weatherford shelter we could get."
