Pregnant pit needs help
REALLY PREGGERS PIT: We got this e-mail just a few minutes ago from Stacey Butler who works in Dallas.
"I just got a call from my husband. He's a student at Lincoln Tech in Grand Prairie." (That's on the southwestern side of Grand Prairie not far from the Arlington line.)
"There is a female pit that is expecting pups ANY DAY now running loose on the campus," Stacey writes. "She's very friendly but she's skin and bones. We can't take her and the SPCA is full. Can you recommend anyone or any place for her? Any help would be greatly appreciated."
If anyone has any idea, you can reach Stacey at stacey92976@sbcglobal.net.
"I wish I could do more for her," she writes. "My husband said her bones are clearly visible and he could feel the pups moving around, so I'm sure she's close to giving birth."
And there's your sign that this is probably a congenial dog who is looking to humans to help her.
