The Theft of Clementine
AFTERNOON BULLETIN: We just received a note regarding what appears to be a case of someone stealing a bulldog from a backyard in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Dallas near White Rock Lake.
Clementine was apparently taken from the yard between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Nov. 6. There was no sign that she dug out or left in any way other than being led or carried out. Area vet offices have been papered with flyers -- Clementine is microchipped.
Her companion, a bulldog named Tater Tot, was left in the yard. The theory is the thief took the dog that looked most "show quality." Tater Tot, we're told, has gone into such a depression that he almost will not leave his crate.
Three-year-old Clementine has distinct markings and her tongue hangs from the right side of her mouth.
There is a $1,000 reward "for the SAFE return" of Clementine.
If you know her whereabouts, call 469-879-8278 or the VCA Lakewood Clinic at 214-826-6601.
