Just as I was about to leave the house for a brisk walk in the chilly wind, I opened one more e-mail and it is this pressure-packed plea from Matt Smith of Frisco. He is trying to find a home – by Monday – for his 8 ½-year-old mixed breed dog Braley, adopted from Operation Kindness in 2001.
Matt is leaving the Dallas/Fort Worth area, he says, and will be living in an apartment that does not allow dogs.
The dog is “free to a good home.” She weighs 35 pounds and is up to date on shots. The new human will get a dog crate, dog bed, collars, pet food and her heartworm meds, says Matt.
He says just found out 10 days ago that he was moving so things have been kind of topsy-turvy. He knows it’s short notice and he says, “That stinks.” He adds, “I hope for a miracle, but don't expect one. I am not sure what comes Monday morning.”
To ask about helping Matt find a home for Braley, e-mail mattsmith.1978@yahoo.com.
