Just a post-Christmas FYI:
It's rainy and cold in Dallas -- perfectly appropriate weather for my primary activity of the day. A visit to the dentist in about an hour -- put it off as long as I could this morning. I can't tell you how anxious this stuff makes me.
Three of our dogs go to the vet this afternoon -- they don't seem to be anxious.
We're not going to a mall or "power shopping center." No returns. Santa was spot on with the gifts.
But, there are bills to be paid, housework to be done. Good thing about an artificial Christmas tree -- you don't have to fight to get the needles out of the carpet.
I miss Christmas already. Smiles of the kids, etc. Never get enough of it -- wish we all had more relaxation time in our approach to the big day.
We're gathering some critter stories to finish out the week. In the past 72 hours we've seen some of the foundlings we moved on to other homes, enjoyed being around other critters found by someone else. And we learned from Operation Kindness that the entertaining dog we found last week, Windy Christmas (named for the season and for the fact that her ears look like they're caught in a gale), had a new home in time for the big holiday.
Life's pretty good. Enjoy it. I'll be at the dentist's.
