The world has lots of room for snoozers and sometimes the snoozers make their own room.
Consider this spotlighted pup in our weekend feature, Let Sleeping Dogs Lie & Napping Cats Nap.
That is not really a “normal” place to sleep.
We got the explanation from Allison Roberts, the volunteer shelter-walker at the Collin County Animal Services Shelter in McKinney. FYI: The shelter has a bunch of vigorous volunteers who don’t mind taking dogs out for exercise.
“This is Soapy Cooper who decided to curl up under the volunteer desk after a walk yesterday [Thursday]. Those are volunteer bags and purses he is napping on,” Allison explains.
She says, “Soapy is a shepherd mix whose been waiting about 3 weeks for a home -- he is a laid back guy and would be a great family pet!”
You can see more adoptables on the volunteer-driven Facebook page HERE and you can also see that CCAS is running a $25 adoption special on many, many dogs.
