[THURSDAY, AUG. 02, EXTRA EDITION PetPowellPress]
This photo of Big Boy arrived with a long list of dogs currently waiting at the Wilmer Animal Shelter on I-45 just minutes south of Dallas.
This is an extra edition of Readlarrypowell.com for Thursday morning. Why?
Read the subject line on the email sent by small shelter monitor Leighann Hayden:
“DOGS AT IMMEDIATE RISK TODAY OF EUTHANASIA - SHELTER FULL - FULL - HELP URGENTLY NEEDED - SAVE A LIFE - PLEASE”
This story is focusing only on Big Boy, the Lab/Shepherd Mix, clearly heartbreakingly morose in the shelter. The other dogs and their stories can be seen when you click HERE.
In case one picture isn’t worth enough words to get Big Boy into someone’s heart this morning, here are some words: “Big Boy's owner died and family members moved into the house and wanted Big Boy gone. Isn't that sad? He is grieving the loss of his owner and now his home. This poor guy has no idea what happened or why he is here. He clearly has never been anywhere like a shelter.”
The contact points are Laura Macias at [email protected] or call or text 214-949-2726. Also, Facebook Carrie Moody or Laura Macias.
Network this one and the others and, of course, if you know someone whose heart will match a dog today, let them know.
