Our gratitude is based on what we believe to be the truth: These Americans fought for peace, not
for more wars. They wanted a safe and honorable nation for their families and the futures of those people. They didn’t want to fight wars so they could go into battle again. Peace and a strong, peaceful nation, an example for the world — those were the goals.
